Like bees to honey, so my boys too are very fascinated (at their age) on anything that can defies the law of gravity with the law of aerodynamics. In short, a kite would just do the trick. So, today, with the good will of a nice stranger in a park with a kite, a bit of wind and a Nikon D90, the boys experienced the tactics involved in flying one in the air.
It wasn't long before fun quickly turned into an obsession, as they soon forgot the kite actually belonged to someone else! Armed with the Nikkor 18-200mm VR II lens, I have decided to add a slight twist into adding some special effects with a slow sync curtain flesh technique. Mind you, its close to pitch dark when the shots were taken, hand held.
But just look at the effect! I am speechless...again.
